Why We Do What We Do

High Desert Doodles & More was launched on a mission to create happy, healthy, temperamentally sound, heart-changing puppies that would go forth from our program and become:
-

-
Therapy Dogs
-
ESAs (Emotional Support Animals)
-
Working Dogs
-
Well-balanced, people-focused, Family Companions
A Community Rooted in Purpose
As our program grew, so did our vision. We realized that the mission of raising heart-changing puppies couldn’t—and shouldn’t—be carried alone. That’s when we began introducing guardian families into our program. We only select the best guardianship homes that share our commitment to ethical practices, early neurological development, and lifelong support for puppy families.

Today, High Desert Doodles & More is proud to share our experiences with our guardianship homes that otherwise would never know the feeling that raising a litter of puppies can do. Every puppy in our program is raised within the home of a dedicated guardianship family for the first 4-5 weeks, receiving hands-on care, early socialization, and the kind of attention only a home environment can provide. While each family focuses on nurturing our puppies during those crucial early weeks, the puppies and momma dog will reside with me from week 4-5 until they go to their forever homes. I personally handle all communication with potential buyers—ensuring consistency, transparency, and a trusted point of contact throughout the entire process. We come together to learn from one another, support each other through challenges, and uphold the highest standards in breeding and puppy placement.
Having our guardianship program allows us to offer a wider variety of breeds and temperaments while maintaining the personal touch and intentionality that define our program. It also ensures that every puppy raised within our circle benefits from the same early enrichment, socialization, and ethical oversight that we’ve built our reputation on.
